    Great Basic Bike

    4 out of 5

It makes a bit of noise but it's a great sturdy bike. I'm new to spinning and didn't want to spend $1000. When I first attempted to put the front stabilizer bar on the bolts were stripped. The company sent me a new part within 3 days. Great customer service. So far everything is great with the bike and I'm glad I picked this bike.

    Good Deal

    4 out of 5

I read the good reviews for this bike and was pleasantly surprised. I'm new to spinning and was considering a more costly model from a different store. I received the bike within the week. They had called to arrange delivery. I live in a bi-level home and the delivery guy asked if he could help me get it to the lower level. Of course I said yes, but he didn't have to. Awesome! I had a problem with putting the front stabilizer bar on. Not sure if the screws were stripped but I couldn't get them secured correctly. I contacted the company and I had a new part within 4 days. The bike is great. The electronic console is junk and doesn't work right so I removed it. I use a app which records my time. The chain makes a slight noise which I'm sure some oil can eliminate. I'm happy with the purchase and customer support...

    Great Product

    4 out of 5

My M4 came a few days ago. I agree with the two common complaints - the computer is terrible (essentially a big timer) and the bike is noisier than I had hoped. At the same time, I found the bike to be much sturdier than I had expected and it delivers a great workout. It feels great having such a solid piece of machinery under me while working out. I'll disagree with those who complain that the seat is uncomfortable - it actually has a lot more padding than a lot of road bikes (though less than your department store flat bar bikes). I found setup obscenely easy - I managed to unpack and put the bike together on my own in about 20-30 minutes. Some parts were quite heavy so don't attempt this if you are out of shape or unable to move around more than 50-60 pounds comfortably. All in all this is a fantastic find at this price range. I could have spent another $500 to $1000 finding a quieter bike with a better computer but at $400 this bike is a steal. Thanks Horizon.

    Good Value

    5 out of 5

I am an avid cyclist who has been forced indoors for a couple months recovering from consecutive surgeries on both arms. Have been riding it 45 minutes to an hour every day for several weeks and am satisfied with the experience. I believe the computer is a bit "wacky" as I routinely ride an hour or so at a sustained 15 mph and I can't get this thing to go much over 6.0 mph no matter the cadence or tension. My sense is that it's only recording about 40% of mph, miles and calories expended. Fortunately, I've got sufficient feel for what my body is doing that I simply adjust the tension to the pedal pressure and cadence that I'm used to and just use the ET clock -- which is correct.

    Great bike

    4 out of 5

This bike is my first fitness equipment purchase so the only comparison I have is with bikes I have used at gyms. In that regard, this bike is excellent and of great quality. I know it'll last a long time the way it's built. It was very easy to assemble. Some reviewers suggested you may need two people but I handled it on my own and I'm not the strongest guy on the planet. It must have taken me 30 minutes to put it together. It's also fairly easy to move, assuming you're tall enough and strong enough. The only cons are two-fold: - The machine that comes with it seems inaccurate to me for some reason. But I don't really care as I tend to workout using a certain time vs. calories. - The seat is not super comfortable. It's very much similar to a road bike seat so it may hurt your rear-end, especially if it's bony like mine :) But overall a great purchase, especially at this price.

I have yet to receive it!

Really excited to receive my bike but this companies shipping has been horrible. I was just sent a link for this review and yet I don't even have it yet? The bike was back ordered and they never notified me? Sad in this day in age...I wish I purchased it from Amazon, then I could at least give it a fair review.

    M4 Spin Bike

    5 out of 5

I'm a big fan of spin biking and I have went threw a lot of them in the past 20 years. I purchased the Horizon M4 bike due to the 10 year frame warranty and I must say, for the price this bike is very nice! Very sturdy! It does the job! I'm basically rough on exercise equipment and this bike so far is holding up to the demands!!! If I had to complain about something it would be the cheap chain guard... I usually take them off anyways! So if you are looking for an inexpensive spin bike, trust me on this one, it's a keeper!!!! Just make sure you keep the maintenance on it, clean it, make sure all the bolts are tighten before riding it and it should make you very happy and fit!

    Good Bike

This is a good bike but a little noisier than I'd hoped for.

    Very sturdy

I'm a solid 240/# rider. I played Hockey, Football and baseball when I was younger. I have had 5 knee operations over the last 20 years. I have lost my interest in going to the gym. I live in Michigan so riding my bike is difficult in the winter months. This bike has been great. Matched with either my iPod or the TV, I now get 3-4 rides a week in without fighting for a spot at the gym. Best part is it took me 15 minutes to assemble.

Great winter substitute for my bicycle.

    4 out of 5

I wanted something I could keep in shape with during the winter months, since cycling outside in below freezing weather is really nasty. This product gives a great workout and simulates the bike geometry pretty well. The only real drawback is the monitor - the calories burned appears to be number-of-revolutions (cadence)-dependent and not sensitive to the level of resistance you apply to the wheel. So if you pedal slower at higher resistance, you appear to burn less calories than pedaling faster at lower resistance. The cycle is sturdy and the product is well constructed. I did a lot of research and I find it to be one of the highest quality products for the price.

    Good Bike uncomfortable seat

Good bike very uncomfortable seat. Any suggestions?

    I highly recommend this bike

I have participated in many spin classes at the gym. This bike is comparable to the gym style bikes. Smooth flywheel with ease of adjustment of seat and handlebar heights. The flywheel is very smooth with low level noise when you are pedaling faster but not enough that I can't hear the music of my DVDs.

    Good workout, Noisy

    3 out of 5

What is great about this bike is it gets my heart rate pumping! It truly is a good workout and the resistance knob works efficiently. However, when resistance level is high, the left foot pedal makes a popping sound. Also, the speedometer included doesn't seem to count calories accurately. In 35 minutes of a semi intense ride, I only burned 52 calories. Maybe it is correct (and I'm just hoping it's not :) ) but I compare it to bikes used at the gym and I can usually burn 2x as many calories in the same time frame.

Assembly was easy, somewhat noisy flywheel, and the right pedal and crank make a popping noise after 10 minutes on the bike. Overall the frame is sturdy and good value for what it is.
